I am a retired Oceanographer and former
Director of Operations for the Naval Oceanographic Office, where
I managed a staff of 300 professionals and the world-wide activities
of 12 survey ships, two survey aircraft and several unmanned submersibles.
During my more than thirty-year career with the federal government,
I received Department of the Navy Meritorious, Superior and Distinguished
Civilian Service medals. The Distinguished Civilian Service
award is the highest honor that the Secretary of the Navy personally
approves and confers upon a civilian employee. |
